A MESSAGE FROM VP RECRUITMENT

Dear Potential New Member,

Welcome to the University of Iowa and the start of the most formative years of your life. I am beyond excited to see all of your smiling faces this fall. I remember being in your position just two years ago, feeling excited, nervous, and totally unsure of where I would end up. I adored recruitment and getting to meet so many incredible Panhellenic women. I felt like I knew no matter where I was, I had girls on my side.

THAT is what recruitment is about. It is not the outfits you wear or the chants we put on for you. It is about forming friendships and finding fellow Hawkeyes who want you to succeed with their whole hearts. It is about running into a woman you talked to during recruitment on campus and instantly feeling a little more at home. Recruitment can seem daunting and overwhelming, but I promise if you hang in there, you WILL find your home. Alpha Chi Omega has been working so hard to get ready to welcome all of you, and we could not be more excited to find our future sisters, friends, and littles. We know you each bring unique talents, perspectives and life experiences with you. Joining a Panhellenic chapter shaped me into the woman, friend, and leader I am today. I will forever hold love for the recruitment process because it gave me my people.

Please, take a deep breath and remember that you are a Real. Strong. Woman.

See you soon,
Maddee
