Why Alpha Chi Omega?

“Since I joined Alpha Chi Omega, I’ve met so many amazing and genuine girls who truly make Iowa City my favorite place in the world!!! Alpha Chi  has not only given me the chance meet my best friends, but has also allowed me to become much more involved in the campus community. My sisters are always down for a Dunkin run, give the BEST advice, and even taught me how to ice skate! I’m so thankful to them for adding so much fun and happiness to my life!”

“When I joined Alpha Chi, I had no idea what I would get from this organization. I was expecting a group of friends and what I got was family instead. The women I’ve met through AXO have made my college experience so amazing and full of love. They’re always there for me when I’m having a good or a bad day to make me smile and laugh until my belly hurts. I am so grateful for this organization for introducing me to my best friends who I could never go a day without. Love you all❣️”

“Alpha Chi has meant so much to me these past two years. From the moment I ran home on bid day, I felt like I belonged. A lot of things in my life have changed since I joined but the one constant has been the support from my sisters. From Zumba on Tuesdays to late night Culver’s runs to cracking up in our room, my roommates have been a constant source of happiness in my life. The leadership position I hold has taught me so much about myself and what it means to lead. I feel so lucky to be sisters to so many strong and empowered women!”

Looking back on the past 6 semesters of college, I think it’s safe to say that college years are a huge time for self-growth and development, but throughout all the change one thing has always been consistent: no matter what opportunities and adventures came and passed, Alpha Chi Omega was always there. Through good times & bad, I have always had and always will have a sister to remind me that no matter how I change, I will always be a real, strong woman.”
